There is a home design trend that is really “in” right now that I just adore – wall decals. Basically they are just stickers that you place on the wall somewhere. They are such an easy way to decorate and add interest to a room. Small decals can simply add to the decor that already exists, whereas large decals can become the focal point of the room. I’ve seen a lot of pictures from Pinterest with wall decals for nurseries, but they really can be used anywhere.

I stumbled onto the RoomMates Peel and Stick website and found a few decals that I love that could be used in different rooms and settings. The prices are really reasonable and they even show the decals in a room type picture so that you can get an idea of what it would look like in real life. With all the models you see in lingerie adverts being slim twenty-somethings (if that!), it’s easy to assume that sexy underwear is the reserve of the youthful, just like Ugg boots and jeggings are.

Do you buy frumpy, boring underwear because you’re worried about how the shop assistant would look at you buying luxury lingerie in middle age? Do you avoid wearing anything lacy or sheer in case you end up with the dreaded ‘mutton dressed as lamb’ look?

Well, I’m here to tell you that gorgeous, beautiful lingerie is acceptable at any age! It doesn’t matter if you’re 18 or 80, you have the right to look and feel beautiful in your smalls.

On the other hand, you do need to choose your styles wisely – our bodies will inevitably change as we get older and what suited you in your twenties is unlikely to be what suits you now.

Are Supplements Effective For Growing Hair

I recently got a new smart phone that I’m crazy about (an Android HTC Incredible 4G LTE) but it is so hard to find phone accessories (i.e. creative phone cases) for it! However, I’m content with the few cases that I found on Amazon simply because I love the cell phone so much.

My cases are in two of my favorite colors: blue and pink sparkles. Oh, what I wouldn’t give for a fun chevron case with the initials of my name on it! I won’t give up my search.

With today’s modern designs you have endless possibilities when it comes to accessories (for most phone designs). There are cases, phone charms, fun earphone buds, car mounts, and even more accessories to utilize and discover. Since I’m limited with only a few cases for my phone (even though there are many other accessories), I thought I would dream with you via this post and show you some of the awesome accessories that you can use with and on your phone!

Also, in case you were wondering, the reason why Verizon and Droid phones more specifically don’t have a lot of phone cases is because there are SO many phones available, as opposed to an iPhone which is universal and the cell phone design stays the same. iPhone was smart if you ask me, but I still prefer my Droid!

Moving on to earphones, Skullcandy happens to be my favorite brand name for earbuds that look stylish and are very functional as well. They come in many colors, feel comfortable in your ears, and make it easy for you to watch a Netflix movie late at night when your spouse and kids are sleeping but you want to stay up and watch a film instead! I personally want the Ink’d 2 Pink/Black ear phones because they are so stylish!

In order to keep your smart phone in great condition, there are also durable and fashionable cases to put your cell phone in when you’re on the go. I admit I don’t have one of these for my new cell phone yet, but IÂ definitelyÂ want one! Plus, I have to admit it’s yet another fun accessory to own that will add the right amount of pizzazz to your phone as well.

Do Ethical Jobs In The Fashion Industry Exist

As is pretty standard for young girls, I dreamed of working in the fashion industry from a young age. After a brief designer phase where I sketched out wedding dresses, I moved onto fantasising about being a writer for Vogue, and finally settled on fashion buying with the chance to travel and earn big bucks. It was whilst studying for my degree in Fashion Promotion however, that I started to become disillusioned with the whole thing.

What’s the Problem?

The problem for me was the unethical, unsustainable side of the industry which I had only caught glimpses of in the past. Suddenly sweatshops and the throw-away nature of fast fashion became all too real for me and for the first time in probably eight years, I started to question whether I wanted to work in the industry at all.

Over the last three or four years I have dedicated a big part of my life to trying to understand whether ethical fashion can exist. I have volunteered for ethical organisations, blogged about ethical fashion issues and completed a Masters degree in ethical fashion. During this time I believe the industry has started to see real change, although it still has a long way to go. There have also been many concerns about ‘greenwashing’ – whether these businesses actually want to change or whether they are just doing their best to appear that way.

Is There a Solution?

There is a certain element to greenwashing in some companies, but the vast majority I believe are trying to do the right thing. A lot of fashion students are choosing to study ethical fashion for their dissertations and final design collections and a number of college courses and modules have popped up in recent years to meet demand from both students and the industry. There are a range of opportunities available for ethically minded fashion lovers, from small consultancy organisations to large high street retailers. Roles include ethical sourcing/trading, CSR and design.

It is sometimes worried that CSR is a public relations role, primarily concerned with displaying an ethical image for a company. This is more down to individuals however to push real changes forward. Plus getting consumers on the ethical bandwagon is half of the battle, and communication is vital. The problems arising most often in the fashion industry is that supply chains become so long and complex, it is easy for managers to miss that fact that orders are being outsourced to unreputable suppliers. The fashion industry may not be considered the ‘greenest’ but rather than turn our backs on it in disgust/frustration, ethically minded individuals need to break into the industry to create real change.
